PROJECT MODERN MEETS TRADITIONAL

OVERVIEW: This builder's "spec" house had tons of space but lacked the storage and character needed to make a house a home.

LOCATION: Canton, Georgia

ROOMS DESIGNED: Living Room and dining nook

The Story

While this home had a beautiful white canvas to start with, this builder grade home desperately needed some character that reflected its owners. This couple requested a refresh that centered around their mantle art. We took the deep blues and golds of the piece and repeated it throughout the rooms using pillows, window treatments, and upholstery.

Living Room

This couple and their furry family member needed furniture that withstood the daily wear and tear. They requested a sofa big enough to lounge with their pup, we were happy to oblige. We had this custom sofa made with performance fabric to ensure this piece looks beautiful years down the road. To the right of the fireplace, there was open space that we transformed by having custom built-in shelving and cabinets built to display found objects and family heirlooms, while hiding the pup's toys in the cabinets. This living room has 20 foot ceilings so it was the perfect opportunity to display a statement chandelier.

Dining Nook

The kitchen and dining nook is where all the fun is! We upgraded the builder island pendant lighting with statement gilded brass pendants and had custom counter stools made with large scale abstract fabric. The dining nook is fitted with a stone round breakfast table and custom dining chairs. Our favorite piece is the storage credenza that is wrapped in a deep blue grasscloth.
